This just sounds like the best way to spend a day exploring a city, whether you know it well or not! My brother went to uni in Sheffield and this has really made me miss visiting it. So good!
This sounds like fun. Nice to have an explainer of the event format - it's something I've always been interested in, but not quite interested enough to look it up (possibly because I too suspected that I would not be cool enough to take part!)
Fascinating! That last photo of the cycling route is crazy!! What an adventure you both had! 👏🏼🚴♀️🚴 🗺️
This was wonderful to read! I loved the stories behind each stop! But, the one comment on you being old and boring… oh my! What do you think of me then? 😢🤣🤣😜 Just kidding! I do not care what people say about me… as long as it is true!
One of my incredible cycling adventures happened on the Island of Maui, Hawaii. We were driven up by a van to the top of Mount Haleakalā, or the East Maui Volcano. It is a massive, active shield volcano. We arrived to see the sunrise and then had a leisurely ride down, using gravity bikes. You could not pedal faster than 35 MPH/56 KPH, unless you were coasting downhill.
One guy hit a pine cone in the road and couldn’t finish the adventure. He had to ride the rest of the way in the van!
We rode through pineapple fields, eucalyptus forests, and beautiful scenery! I highly recommend it to you and Adam!
I would love to do a Gay Back Alley Cat run! Thanks for sharing, Mildred! 🥰
I'm so chuffed to read this; a gloriously fun and honest good time!!
Thank you for your encouragement!

It honestly was so good. And hey if you want to come and visit me for a pootle and some bird nerding, I am very open to that 😊
I would LOVE that

Theo that sounds AMAZING! You are definitely not boring, my friend, that's for sure!
Oh my! Looking back, I saw all of my typos! Thank goodness for the chance to use the “edit” option!
I do love that your Baby has fenders! A much needed feature on wet roads! 😅
